The Information Technology department is focused on ensuring network reliability, reliable customer service, and successful project portfolio management. The Department is made up of 16 staff (5 Systems Administrators, 5 Help Desk staff, 2 DBA's, 1 Project Manager, 1 Business Analyst, 1 SSRS Report Writer and 1 Director). Overall, the Department maintains an IT infrastructure consisting of approximately 110 virtualized servers, 10 physical servers, 450 desktop computers, and 750 users. Rolling project portfolio of approximately 15 - 20 concurrent projects, 6 – 8 of which have major impact.


This position will be part of the IT Service Desk (formally the Help Desk) team and work directly with customers over the phone, email and/or in person to resolve incidents or problems. They may also be responsible for the deployment of hardware and software. Responsibilities include logging issues, fulfilling requests such as password resets, generating work orders, and diagnosing and resolving problems. They will also be responsible for imaging endpoints, transferring data, mapping printers, and deploying devices to end users.


  • Create and deploy software packages
  • Manage GPOs
  • Manage desktop inventory and imaging tools


  • Desktop knowledge in a mixed environment (knowledge of native software applications and operating systems for both Mac and Windows) 
  • Troubleshooting capabilities 
  • Customer service and support skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Summer 2019 (May-August)


8 hours/day, 3 days/week. 


$12.00/hour for undergraduate interns and $12.25/hour for interns with degrees (undergraduate or graduate).
