PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Marketing department handles a variety of marketing, sales support and media relations activities to help promote the Engineering is Elementary (EiE) curriculum to educators and administrators at districts and schools across the United States.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Intern assists with day-to-day activities in the department, which will range from assisting with social media, content development, website, analytics, competitive analysis and more. This may include fielding requests for information or assets, assisting with event logistics, creating social media posts, email and web content, flyers and brochures.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research our competitors and create a competitive analysis 
  • Assist with requests for website changes and additions 
  • Assist with conferences or events, including logistics, collateral development, signage etc.
  • Report on website analytics 
  • Update web materials 
  • Assist with email marketing 
  • Assist with social media content creation and updating the calendar


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate or graduate student 
  • Good organizational, speaking, writing, and presentation skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to take directions and work independently 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Powerpoint, Excel, and Word 
  • Experience with Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram & Facebook


LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP: Summer (May-August)


WORK SCHEDULE: 8-15 hours a week, primarily during normal business hours 9 to 5


SALARY: $12.00/hour for undergraduate interns and $12.25/hour for interns with degrees.
