The Engineering is Elementary (EiE) project fosters engineering and technological literacy among children. The intriguing engineering challenges empower students to tackle real-world engineering problems using the Engineering Design Process along with creativity and collaboration. EiE's Multimedia department uses video production to create resources for teachers and students and to communicate about the project's ongoing initiatives.


The EiE Multimedia Production intern will work closely with the EiE Multimedia team to update and refine classroom videos. In particular, s/he will be responsible for reworking and implementing key visual assets across a library of short video "snippets," maintaining organization and archival management of these project files, and will compress and upload completed videos. The intern will also assist the multimedia team in moving our online video storage between Vimeo and YouTube as the project develops and fills out a YouTube channel.


  • Editing new bumpers on video snippet library
  • Support upload and organization of videos onto YouTube platform
  • Assist team in syncing and preparing Classroom Video footage for edit
  • Occasional video production support during on site field shoots
  • Other responsibilities as needed


  • Video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Familiarity with Vimeo and/or YouTube 
  • Organized and detail-oriented


  • Comfort using video production equipment


  • Fall 2017 (September-December)


  •  20 hours/week



$11.00 & $11.25 hourly
